Decision on cataract procedure

Currently there is no alternative to the surgical procedure in the treatment of cataract. This procedure has already become a routine intervention by now. Only in the United States 2.5 million cataract treatments are performed a year, while in our country (Hungary) the number of such procedures exceeds six thousand per year.Following the procedure patient may even go home after few hours of resting. The vision quality with the prosthetic lens implant may reach the status before the development of cataract. |
In many people the vision quality recovers even on the day of the surgery, while in others this process is a little bit slower. This is why it is important for the patient to come with a friend or relative to the intervention, who can take him/her home after the procedure.
One of the safest procedure
Cataract treatment is one of the safest procedures: thanks to the development of micro-surgical techniques cataract surgery is free from complications in 98% of the cases. Nevertheless, it should be noted that there is no surgical intervention which is completely risk free. Therefore your doctor and our colleagues will inform you on the risks of the operation in details.

- unique prosthetic lenses with unbiased optic that can be implanted through a small incision.
