After graduating at Debrecen University of Medicine Faculty of Medicine, I passed the qualification exam in ophthalmology. I worked as specialist at the Department of Ophthalmology of the Military Hospital for nearly two decades, and I have been refractive surgeon of Optimum Eye Center since 2000. In 2003, I won the first prize of best speaker under 40 years of age at the congress of the Hungarian Society of Intraocular Lens Implantation and Refractive Surgery (SHIOL). I took part in several study visits and professional trainings, my participation in trainings, Hungarian and international congresses and holding presentations are continuous. Moreover, I am involved in clinical trials, too. I am permanent consultant for dissertations in the training for optometrist. My professional fields include laser vision correction procedures of the cornea, superficial and flap creation laser therapies (PRK, LASEK, Epi-LASIK, ZYOPTIX, FEMTO-LASIK), cataract surgeries (phacoemulsification, femto-cataract surgeries), glaucoma, blepharospasms - use of botulinum toxin (Botox injection), eyelid plastic surgery, Nd-YAG laser treatments, retinal disorders (age-related macular degeneration (AMD), diabetic retinopathy, retinal venous flow disorders (retinal thromboses), other retinal disorders), treatment of retinal disorders - intravitreal injections (injections given into the vitreous body), retinal laser treatments, and state-of-the-art retinal diagnostic techniques: optic coherence tomography (OCT), fluorescein angiography (FLAG). I passed the language exam in English with proficiency level. I am a member of the Hungarian Medical Chamber, the Hungarian Ophthalmological Society, the Hungarian Society of Intraocular Lens Implantation and Refractive Surgery (SHIOL), GMC - General Medical Council, and UK and Eire Glaucoma Society (UKEGS).
