Dr. Olga Lukáts

My speciality is eyelid surgery. After graduating from Semmelweis University of Medicine and Health Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, I started practicing at the Department of Ophthalmology at Semmelweis University of Medicine and Health Sciences. At the clinic I am the head of the Eyelid Reconstruction Group and the President of the Eyelid, Lacrimal and Orbital Surgery Section of the Hungarian Society of Ophthalmology. My special clinical and scientific fields of expertise are clinical examination of eyelid and orbital tumours, reconstruction after tumour removal, diagnosis and surgical treatment of defective eyelid positions, developmental disorders of the eyelid, primary and secondary surgery of eyelid injuries, aesthetic upper eyelid correction. I have introduced 12 types of surgery in my field, which were performed for the first time in Hungary. Besides organising three international congresses and four Hungarian professional development conferences, I have written five textbook excerpts. I am a member of three Hungarian and two international societies.
